Meet Emery R. she is our second writing contest winner from Lime Green Giraffe and Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta writers workshop in February. She is in the 7th grade. Here is her winning article.
From the Greek Geek
Did you know Kore was the name of Persephone, Hade's wife before she changed it or that the cyclopses made Zeus' thunderbolt? I bet that you know from just reading this that I am a geek about Greek. Greece had one of the most prominent ancient cultures and it has greatly influenced modern culture. You can see this influence in statues, and architecture, just look! It is amazing that even though ancient Greece is gone, it still lives though artifacts and the replica of the Parthenon in Nashville, Tennessee.
