Girl Scout Badges and Journeys are a great way to connect with your troop and learn new things. I know that sometimes it is hard to find one that really sounds fun and interesting to your whole troop. So, I have put together this list. Here are some Badge and Journey ideas that you should try with your troop.

Girl Scout Badge Ideas

  • Comic Artist- In this badge you get to learn all about comic art and how to tell your own story using it. I know we have some future graphic designers out there!

  • New Cuisine- In this badge you and your Girl Scout troop get to cook up four delicious foods and learn while making a meal. Yum!

  • Traveler- In this badge you get to learn how to plan a trip. You can research fun things to do in your location and then you get to go and live it out! Anyone ready for an adventure?

  • Voice for Animals- In this badge you can learn about struggles animals may go through and how to fix them.

  • Game Visionary- In this badge you get to learn how to organize fun games that will bring people together.

Ambassadors:

  • Survival Camper- In this badge you get to plan your own camping experience and teach yourself new survival skills.

And if you are volunteering with a Girl Scout Daisy, Brownie or Junior troop here are some badge ideas for their age groups.

Daisies:

  • Board Game Design Challenge- In this badge Daisies explore different types of board games in order to design their own and share it with all their friends.

  • Daisy Trail Adventure- In this badge Daisies get to plan out an adventure, prepare for it, and then go on it. You can guide them to go anywhere that interests them and learn lots of new things.

  • Eco Learner- In this badge Daisies get to learn all about how they can protect nature.

  • Buddy Camper Badge- In this badge Daisies get to help plan a camping trip for their troop. They can help plan some games or a meal to eat. Whatever you think will be lots of fun to do at camp, you can plan!

Brownies:

  • Home Scientist Badge- In this badge Brownies can be a chemist in their own kitchen (with adult supervision) using items found around their house. You can lead them to learn how to do lots of cool and fun experiments!

  • Girl Scout Way- In this badge Brownies learn different ways to share Girl Scouts all over! They also get to learn more about all the things Girl Scouts do, and how to share those things to others. My favorite part of this badge is celebrating Juliette Gordon Low’s birthday.

  • Eco Friend- In this badge Brownies get to learn and take action in protecting the environment.

  • Outdoor Art Creator- In this badge Brownies get to gather inspiration from the outdoors and create art using that inspiration. The possibilities are endless! They can paint, make a dance, create a song, anything they want to showcase nature.

Juniors:

  • Detective Badge- In this badge Juniors will learn how to crack codes, follow clues, and learn how to be a true detective. Sounds amazing, doesn’t it?

  • Animal Habitats- In this badge Juniors will learn about where animals live, how they play, and how we, as humans, can help them.

  • First Aid- In this badge Brownies can learn how to respond to an emergency, and how to help someone who is sick or injured. This way Brownies are very prepared for the “friendly and helpful” part of our Girl Scout Promise.

  • Drawing- In this badge Brownies can learn all about drawing! You can help them  experiment with different materials, learn different techniques, and most importantly, use their imagination.

Girl Scout Journey Ideas

Cadettes:

  • It’s Your World- Change It!- In this Journey you will get to learn more about relationships and how to find true friends. I enjoyed this Journey because my troop bonded and realized that we had each other’s back.

Seniors:

  • It’s Your Planet- Love It!- In this Journey you will discover more about your core values and how to act toward others, you will also learn more about how to work together as a team.

Ambassadors:

  • It’s Your Story- Tell It!- In this Journey you will get to learn more about yourself and discover more about what you want to do in your future.

I think Journeys are a great way to see a project from start to finish. You find an issue that you care about and do your best to find a solution.

Again, if you are working on your leadership awards and volunteering with Daisy, Brownie or Junior troops, here are some Journey ideas.

Daisies:

  • It’s Your World- Change It!- In this Journey the girls get to discover how the Girl Scout Law connects to their lives and they get to learn more about each other to connect as a team. When I was a Daisy, my troop planted a garden and we watched it bloom.

Brownies:

  • It’s Your Story- Tell It!- In this Journey the girls will get to learn more about themselves in this diverse world and learn how to tell their story!

Juniors:

  • It’s Your Planet- Love It!- In this Journey the girls will get to discover more about their own energy, the energy of people, and things around them!

Hopefully you found on this list some great badges and Journeys to do with your troop. There are endless possibilities of badges or Journeys that you can complete!
