Girl Scouts embodies girl power, teamwork, friendships and loads of fun! Girl Scouts offers girls along with mentors, and troop leaders an opportunity to bond through community, environmental, and service projects. However, one of the best ways to bond is through camping!

There are more than five Girl Scout camps in Georgia and numerous around the country. There are a ton of fun activities to partake in at camp. You can choose a day camp or a sleepaway camp. The camps offered are Classic, Specialty, and Leadership.

Classic camps allow a day of fun and exploration. The activities at Classic camp include pony and horseback riding at all levels. Swimming, arts & crafts, hiking, canoeing and even target archery! Certain camp locations even offer sailing, windsurfing, and primitive camping.

Specialty camps hone in on a skill that you might want to sharpen. If you love mysteries, you might want to sign up for the Night Detective camp. The Trailblazers Overnight camps are for those interested in hiking or horseback riding on challenging trails. Becoming the next Ava DuVernay, Kathryn Bigelow or Chloe Zhao is not out of reach with activities such as learning video basics, filming, taking field trips, and premiering your own movie through the Cadette Film Crew camp.

Leadership camps are designed for future leaders-in-training and counselors-in-training. Problem solving skills, tools for implementing, planning, teaching, and mentorship are the highlights of this camp.

Whether you want to build new friendships while making s’mores under the stars, go swimming or hiking, appreciate nature, enjoy STEM activities, or fine tune your leadership skills, Girl Scouts has the best camps to address the needs of every girl.
