Girls Scouts of Greater Atlanta A Day at the Capitol took place on February 12, 2013. Girl Scouts gathered from different service units joined with GSGATL CEO Marylin Midyette to make a proclamation.
Not only that, girls that participated had the opportunity to tour Capitol offices, the senate, and the house of representatives, and take a group picture with Governor Nathan Deal! Many sponsors and other organizations were also at the capitol, such as the American Heart Association. Women's Awareness Month is always in March and American Heart month is in February, in order to inform women and to be aware of their health.
One thing that I learned at the capitol is that we have a voice and it should be heard! What are your thoughts about politics? And the government?
