Stuck inside on a winter day? Here some cute,
easy, and fun crafts to keep you entertained.
The Gloved Animal
What you’ll need:
- 1 Glove
- Scissors
- Needle & thread
- Stuffing (just enough to fill the glove)
- Buttons (three per glove)
To make your own stuffed little animal you
need to take your glove and cut the fingers off, leaving only the pinky finger
and index finger uncut. Next, you will need to sew all of cut the fingers
closed. Make sure that no stuffing will be able to come out of the fingers.
Then, you can stuff your glove through the bottom opening of the glove (where
your hand would go). Afterwards, you can sew the bottom opening closed. Lastly,
sew the three buttons onto your stuffed glove so that it has two eyes and a
nose.
The
Snow Globe
What you’ll need:
- Mason jar
- Hot glue gun
- Water
- Glitter
- A small figurine
To make this cute homemade snow globe you
will need to hot glue your small figurine to the inside of a jar lid. Make sure
that it is centered and will not fall off. After the glue dries, place your lid
and figurine off to the side. Fill your jar with water. Next, add as much
glitter as you would like to the water. Then, screw the lid tightly on the jar.
Shake it up, and you now have your own home made snow globe!
The Reindeer Candy Cane Holder
What you’ll need:
- 2 candy canes
- 2 plastic eyes
- A small pom-pom
- An old scarf/sweater or any piece of fabric (preferably a thin piece)
- Scissors
- Hot glue gun
First, you will need your old
scarf/sweater. You will only need a small part of it that covers about 2 inches
on the bottom of your candy canes. Line the two candy canes next to each other
with one curved end facing right and the other facing left. After, take the
fabric piece, and wrap the fabric around the base of the candy canes (the
straight ends). Then, hot glue the end of the fabric down. Make sure you do not accidentally hot glue it to the candy cane, and that it fits snuggly around the
candy canes. Lastly, hot glue the pom-pom (for the nose) and plastic eyes to
the piece of fabric that is wrapped around the base of the candy canes.
