Winter—a time of oversized sweaters, furry boots, snowmen, and days spent by a crackling fireplace. If you’re anything like me, winter is also the time when your sweet tooth kicks into full drive. Here are a few mouth-watering recipes to keep your taste buds satisfied this winter:

Polar Ice Caps
Here’s what you’ll need: 
  • Blue Kool-Aid
  • Ginger ale
  • Vanilla ice cream
  • Cups
  • Straws
Step 1: Fill your cup halfway with the Kool-Aid.
Step 2: Add the ginger ale to the Kool-Aid until the cup is almost full.
Step 3: Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Step 4: Enjoy!

Puppy Chow
Here’s what you’ll need:
  • 8 cups Chex cereal
  • 1 cup Chocolate chips
  • ½ cup Peanut butter (chocolate works too if allergic to peanut butter)
  • ¼ cup Butter
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 1 ½ cups Powdered sugar
  • large Ziploc bag(s)

Step 1: Put the chocolate chips, butter, and peanut butter in a microwave-safe bowl.
Step 2: Microwave the chocolate chips, the butter, and peanut butter.
Step 3: Put the Chex cereal in a bowl.
Step 4: Stir the melted chocolate chips, butter, and peanut butter. Make sure its mixed well, or cook for thirty seconds longer!
Step 5: Add vanilla to the mixture.
Step 6: Pour the mixture of chocolate chips, butter, and peanut butter over the Chex cereal. Make sure to coat the Chex cereal with the mixture.
Step 7: Pour your new mixture into a large Ziploc bag.
Step 8: Add powdered sugar to the Ziploc bag.
Step 9: Close the Ziploc bag and shake the mixture.
Step 10: Pour the mixture into a bowl and enjoy.

Butterbeer from Harry Potter World at Universal Studios
Here’s what you’ll need:
  • 1/4 cup of sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/4 cup of butterscotch topping
  • 2 tablespoons of whipped butter
  • 1 1/2 cups of vanilla cream soda

Step 1: Put the condensed milk, butterscotch topping, and butter in a measuring cup or bowl.
Step 2: Heat in microwave for 1 minute.
Step 3: Remove and stir. Make sure the butter has melted.
Step 4: Heat the cream soda for 1 minute and 30 seconds.
Step 5: Fills cups with the cream soda and add the condensed milk, butterscotch topping, and butter mixture to the cups with cream soda.
Step 6: Stir and enjoy.
