It’s been nearly two months since quarantine has started. Since we’ve been stuck at home, there have been people that have been using this time to do something productive, like losing weight or treating acne; they’re basically trying to glow up over quarantine. And if some people do it, then everybody else is going to want to do it. It seems like people are afraid of going back to school or work looking the same as before and that people are going to comment that they had all this time and they didn’t do anything about it.

Honestly, it’s okay to not glow up over quarantine or feel pressured to do something productive. We live in a society where it seems we have to work 24/7 in order to get something efficiently done, and especially now during quarantine, everyone is taking that into effect. Refinery29, states that: “After just one week of attempting my own lockdown glow-up via a fitness influencer’s videos, I had to take a step back because I realized that what was okay for her – zillions of weighted jumping squats and lunges, day after day – wasn’t okay for me. My knees were in bits and it made me reassess whether these one-size-fits-all fitness regimes are a good idea.”

Instead of trying to feel pressured to be productive during quarantine, we can use this time to relax, especially if you have been working overtime for a long time; it’s much better to relax and be happy than work endlessly because the media has warped your mind into believing that you have to do it. So, don’t feel pressured to be productive during quarantine, or you’re not going to be happy.
